Event countdown
Update June 2024
We've added a new option - you can now exclude weekends when you establish your event countdown!
The Event countdown widget allows you to show students how many days are left until a special occasion takes place.
How it works
This widget can display the timeframe of an event in two different ways: by counting down from and progressing to a set date. You can display multiple events on a single screen by adding additional Event countdown widgets, or you can select only one milestone at a time to appear. With the Event countdown widget, your class can look forward to celebrating things together as they occur throughout the school year.
With a Pro account, you can compile and save up to 50 events, and with a Basic account, you can save one event.
Widget Setting
Via the settings, you can choose which event(s) you want to appear on your screen and you can edit the event's title and date by clicking on the options icon. Any modification made will effectively display in all other widgets on your screen no matter which widget you edit in. You can favorite an event, by clicking on the star next to it, so it is set as the default event upon activation of the widget.
Event Type
When you create a new event, you can select how you prefer the time to be displayed. The countdown option provides a flip calendar model that shows which date the event will occur and how many days are left until that occasion arrives. The progress option shows how much time has passed, by indicating a percentage in the bar, leading up to an event. For example, if you want to mark the first and last day of school, students can see how much time has passed gradually.
Weekends
Want to get even more specific with the timing of your event? You can exclude counting weekend days if you toggle on this option! You will then be shown the total number of school days left so your students can anticipate the event with even more accuracy.
